The Central Board of Secondary Education has started inviting online application for conduct of the 11th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018. The test will be conducted in twenty languages in 92 cities all over the country. The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, languages eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities and important dates will be available on CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in w.e.f. 01-08-2018 and the
aspiring candidates are requested to download the Information Bulletin from above mentioned website only and read the same carefully before applying. The aspiring candidates have to apply online only through CTET website www.ctet.nic.in. The online application process will start from 01-08-2018 onwards. The last date for submitting online application is 27-08-2018 and fee can be paid upto 30-08-2018 before 3.30.p.m.

Candidates to kindly note that both the sessions would be conducted on Sunday, December 9, 2018. The earlier date of September 16, 2018 was cancelled due to delay in release of CTET 2018 online application forms. The exam date for CTET 2018 is December 9.

Also, as CBSE has modified the eligibility criteria, as per which, B.Ed candidates will now be eligible to apply for Paper-I as well (read both papers), interested candidates can make the changes once the Online Correction Process window is made available from 6th to 15th September 2018. CTET 2018 examination comprises of two papers viz Paper-II - 9:30am to 12pm (Classes VI to VIII) and Paper-I - 2pm to 4:30pm (Classes I to V). A candidate needs minimum 60% to become CTET Qualified and the certificate is valid for a period of seven years. CTET 2018 qualified candidates become eligible to apply for teacher recruitment as and when it happens for Class I to VIII in schools that come under the purview of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the administrative control of UTs of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi

CTET 2018 Eligibility Criteria has been modified by the CBSE upon receiving clarification from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). A Corrigendum has been released on the official website of Central Teacher Eligibility Test - ctet.nic.in, stating the modified Point 6.1 of the Information Bulletin of CTET-2018.
As per the amendment, candidates who are B.Ed qualified and have applied for Paper-II can now apply for Paper-I as well. Candidates will be able to modify their application forms once the correction window is made available by the CBSE on 6 September 2018, next month. Interested candidates will be able to apply for both the papers till 15 September 2018. They would need to pay the difference in fee by 18 September 2018, 3:30 pm via e-Challan or Debit/Credit Card.
‘The candidates those who passed B.Ed qualification and already applied for Paper–II as per the eligibility and have already paid necessary fee as specified may also apply now under the amendment for both the papers viz Paper-I and Paper-II. Those who wish to apply for Paper I also, now may do so during the correction period which is extended till 15-09-2018 i.e. from 06-09-2018 (Thursday) to 15-09-2018 (Saturday) by remitting necessary difference in fee as stated in the CTET-2018 Information Bulletin under Point no.15’ read the Corrigendum.

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE officials have confirmed that the exam date for CTET 2018 is under advisement at present and would be notified later. In the meanwhile, the CTET 2018 online application forms are now available on ctet.nic.in. Interested candidates are required to apply before August 27, 2018 on the official website. There are some sites which are claiming that CTET 2018 would be conducted on September 16, 2018. Some are suggesting that the dates might remain the same. However, that is not true. The date of September 16, 2018 was notified earlier but has since been changed.

CTET eligibility is mandatory for candidates aspiring for central school teaching jobs as well as jobs with JNV or KVs. Some states also accept CTET in terms of the mandatory TET qualifier for teachings jobs at state level institutes.
CTET Admit Cards:
The candidates may download Admit Card from CTET official website and appear for the examination at the given Centre. In case of any discrepancy noticed in admit card regarding particulars of candidate, photograph and signature or any other information vary from confirmation page, he/she may immediately contact CTET unit for necessary corrections.
In case confirmation page is not generated after depositing the requisite fees, the candidate should approach the Assistant Secretary (Exam.), CTET Unit, CBSE between 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. from 10 days beofre the commencement of CTET Exam along with CTET - 2018 proof of payment of fee i.e. candidate copy of E-Challan, if payment made through E-Challan or copy of bank statement, if payment made through Credit/Debit Card for considering his/her candidature for CTET - 2018 examination.
The candidates shall report at the Examination Centre 90 minutes before the commencement of the examination. Candidate report at the examination centre after 9:30 AM shall not be allowed to sit in Paper II and candidate report after 2:00 PM shall not be allowed to sit in Paper I.
The candidates are advised to read the instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the conduct of the examination.
