నీటిపారుదల శాఖకు వెయ్యి పోస్టులు కొత్తగా మంజూరు చేయడానికి ప్రభుత్వం సిద్ధంగా ఉందని సీఎం కేసీఆర్‌ ప్రకటించారు. కోటి 25 లక్షల ఎకరాలకు సాగునీరు అందించే వ్యవస్థ నిర్వహణ పకడ్బందీగా ఉండాలని ఆయన చెప్పారు. నీటి పారుదల శాఖను ఇక నుంచి జల వనరుల శాఖ (వాటర్‌ రిసోర్సెస్‌ డిపార్టుమెంటు)గా మారుస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. జలవనరుల శాఖ ఒకే గొడుగు కింద ఉండాలి. వేర్వేరు విభాగాలు ఇకపై కొనసాగవు. రాష్ట్రాన్ని వీలైనన్ని ఎక్కువ ప్రాదేశిక ప్రాంతాల కింద విభజించాలి. ఒక్కో ప్రాదేశిక ప్రాంతానికి ఒక్కో సీఈని ఇన్‌చార్జిగా నియమించాలి. అక్కడి ప్రాజెక్టులు, కాల్వలు, చెరువులు, లిఫ్టులన్నీ సీఈ పరిధిలోనే ఉండాలి. చెరువులు నింపే పని పకడ్బందీగా జరగాలి.
