Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE) invites online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of various Faculty and Non faculty / Non Teaching positions including Registrar and other posts. All the positions carry scales of pay at appropriate levels of VII Central Pay Commission of the Government of India, as applicable to all the IITs. The last date for submission of online applications is 24th July 2020.  Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), is an Institute of National Importance at par with all other IITs and IIMs and enacted by the Parliament vide the Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy Act, 2017 (No: 3 of 2018). It has started its operations in 2016 at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, engaged in teaching, research and development.

02. IIPE invites applications for the following non-faculty positions, and all the positions carry scales of pay at appropriate levels of VII Central Pay Commission of the Government of India, as applicable to all the IITs.

Non Faculty Vacancy and Pay Details:

Non Faculty Qualification and Experience :

1. Librarian:  Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science and 18 years of experience as Librarian.
2. Deputy Librarian: Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree, with at least Second Class in qualifying degree and at least 5 years of professional experience.
3. Officer IT: B.Tech/ BE/ MTech/ ME/ MCA. At least 10 years relevant experience.
4. Senior Superintendent: Post Graduate or Management Graduate degree in a discipline of relevance to Public Administration/ Management/ Accounting/ HR and similar areas with at least Second Class in qualifying degree. Minimum 10 years experience.
5. Secretary to Registrar: Bachelor’s Degree/ PG Degree in any discipline. Minimum 05 years experience.
6. Guest House Manager: Bachelor’s Degree/ PG Degree in Hospitality/Hotel/Catering Management with at least Second Class in qualifying degree. Minimum 08 years experience.
7. Technician: B.E./ B. Tech./ 03 years Diploma in Engineering. Minimum 05 years experience.
8. Technical Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree/ PG Degree in any discipline. Minimum 05 years experience.
9. Lab Assistant: 03 years Diploma in Engineering / B. Tech/B.E./ M.Sc. (Geology)in relevant discipline with at least Second Class in qualifying degree.

1. Faculty Pay Scale Details:
Professors: 1,59,100/- per month (Pay Matrix Level 14A)
Associate Professors: 1,39,000/- per month (Pay Matrix Level 13A2)
Assistant Professors Grade I: 1,01,500 per month (Pay Matrix Level 12)
Assistant Professors Grade II: 70,900/- per month
Librarian: Level 14 144200 – 211800

Faculty Qualification and Experience:

1. Professors: Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with consistently good academic record throughout. Minimum 10 years teaching/ research/ professional experience.
2. Associate Professors: Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with consistently good academic record throughout. Minimum 06 yearst eaching/ research/ professional experience.
3. Assistant Professors Grade I: Ph.D.with First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with consistently good academic record throughout. Minimum 03 years teaching/ research/ professional experience.
4. Assistant Professors Grade II: Candidates with less than 3 years’ industrial/research/teaching experience after completing Ph.D.for direct recruitment as Assistant Professor Grade-I,may be taken as Assistant Professor Grade II.

Selection Process:
Written Test/ Trade Test/ Computer Test / Test of Communications skills/ Interview.
