State Level National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Exam-2017

Director of Government Examinations Board, Telangana State issued the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) Examination Notification 2017 for Class VII  and invited the applications from the eligible students for awarding of NMMS Scholarship. The students studying VIII Class during the year 2017-18 and VII Class Pass out for the year 2017-17 are eligible to write the Examination. The scholarship will be awarded to the selected students from class IX and continues till class XII @ Rs.6000/- per annum.

The NMMS 2017 exam will take place on 5 November 2017 from 10am to 1pm. Now the Telangana State Board officials uploaded the NMMS Examination 2017 Hall Tickets to their official website bsetelangana.org. Telangana State applied NMMS students can download their halls tickets from the bsetelangana.org website. Again, we have provided the download links. So candidates can download your indoor ticket given in the following link.




How to Download the TS NMMS Exam Hall Tickets 2017:
1.  First  Visit the BSE Telangana website  www.bsetelangana.org 
2. Search for “NMMS Nov-2017 Hall Tickets” and click on the link.
3. Now Select Your District Name, Select your School/institute Name and Select Your Namefrom the drop down menus.
4. Click on the download button.
5. Then, your hall ticket will be downloaded.
6. NowTake the print out.
Note:This Hall Ticket is entry pass of the examination hall. So, candidates must keep their hall ticket while you are going to the examination.


TS NMMS 2017 applied candidates can also get their hall tickets from your concerned DEO Office.

Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (N.M.M.S.S)  Details:

  1. The Ministry for Human Resource Development, Government of India has launched centrally sponsored National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (N.M.M.S.S). Under this scheme an examination will be conducted and selected candidates will get the scholarship.
  2. Every year 1, 00,000 students will be selected throughout India. Out of which 4087 scholarships are being allotted to Residuary Telangana and have been distributed among the districts basing on enrollment in VII and VIII Classes for each academic year.
  3. The Director of Government Examinations, Telangana, Hyderabad is conducting NMMS examination from August 2008.
  4. This examination is conducted every year in the month of November for the students in class VIII studying inGovernment/ Local Body/Municipal/Aided Schools are eligible for this examination.
  5. The candidates who got minimum 55% of marks for OC/BC candidates and 50% for SC/ST in VII Standard.
  6. The beneficiaries are being selected basing on the merit and as per the reservation norms followed by the state.
  7. State Norms including 3% reservation for P.H candidates. (S.C 15%; S.T 6%; B.C-A 7%; B.C-B 10%; B.C-C 1%; B.C-D 7% ; BC-E 4%).

Pattern of Examination is as follows:
Mental Ability Test (M.A.T) – 90 marks multiple choice questions.
Scholastic Ability Test (S.A.T) – 90 marks covering social science, science and mathematics of class VII & VIII. Each question carry one mark
Qualifying percentage is as follows:
Gen 40% B.C 35% S.C/S.T/P.H 25%

Eligibility:
A Candidate who  Scored atleast 55% of marks in class VII examination of the year 2016-17 and has been promoted to class VIII for academic year 2017-18. In respect of SC/ST candidate s they have secured at least 50% or its equalant grade
Is studying in Govt/ZP/Muncipal/Private Aided High School Model Schools which have no residential fecility is only eligible to write the exmination NMMS 2017
Whose parental annual income is below Rs. 1,50,000 per year from all source is eligible to appear for the examination. In case of Govt employee salary certificate will be enough as a proof of income issue by the employer
