Doordarshan Channel Classes CSE proceedings: School Education – Conduct of Bridge Course and Video Lessons through Doordarshan  Instructions  

All the District Educational Officers/ Regional Joint Directors of School Education in the state are hereby informed in view of the pandemic situation, start of the academic year for schools is postponed.  In order to facilitate learning and to bridge the learning gap during Pandemic and for school preparedness, video classes are going to be telecasted through Doordarshan (Saptagiri Channel) daily few hours i.e., 11.00 a.m to 12.00 noon for Bridge course ( Classes 1 to 5), from 02.00 p.m to 03.00p.m for classes 6 & 7, and from 03.00 p.m to 04.00 pm for classes 8 and 9 on all days. These video classes will help the students to improve their basic literacy, numeracy and to revise the important concepts. All concepts which are supposed to be covered till June end will be covered through video classes. For Students of class 10, the program of daily two hours will continue as it is till their examination. 
The students who will be joining in Class 1 and who have already completed class 1 and going to class 2, shall be given the Bridge course material prepared for School readiness. Level 1 of Bridge course material shall be used for class 1 & 2 and level 2 of Bridge course material shall be used for class 3,4 & 5. For classes 6 to 9, concepts are introduced through video lessons. As there is loss of instructional hours during the previous academic year, and during the academic year 2020-21, because of a pandemic situation, all the stakeholders are hereby requested to follow the guidelines and schedule scrupulously to encourage learning of the students.

Sub: – School Education – COVID 19 Pandemic – Conduction of online classes through DD Saptagiri and Virtual class rooms – Certain instructions issued –Regarding.
The attention of all the Regional Joint Director of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are invited to the ref 10th cited, wherein the Union Home Secretary = Chairman, NEC, GoI has issued orders Dt:27.05.2021 that, the guidelines for surveillance, containment and caution
issued in MHA orders Dt-29.04.2021, as conveyed by Ministry of Health  Family Welfare (MoHFW), GoI D.O. letter dated 25.04.2021, has been extended up to 30th June, 2021. Further, the Government has undertaken several measures including strengthening of surveillance for prevention, containment, and control of COVID-19.
2. Further, keeping in view of the present situation of the State, and since the Government have decided to postpone the SSC Public Examinations, 2021 due to second wave of COVID 19, the summer vacation for teachers and students of Classes I to X for all schools under all managements is extended till 30.06.2021. 
3. As per the above situation it was decided to issue a detailed academic calendar and the said activities to be taken up through, Doordarshan, Radio, Virtual Class rooms, weBex through YouTube streaming, personal contact through WhatsApp groups etc., to conduct online education for all classes from
15th June .
4. All the District Educational officers in the state are requested to ensure the live streaming by using diferent methods. An instruction should be circulated to all parents not having access for online streaming (Smart Phone/Laptops) should be reachable through Doordarshan and the concerned Head Masters should clarify the doubts/clarifcations to the students once in a week
5. Further the District Educational officers in the state are requested to issue detailed instructions to conduct the online sessions utilizing the infrastructure available with the schools and adopt the Vitrual class room platform by duly identifying the best teachers in the districts concerned for online/offline streaming of the academic lessons apart from the live streaming of Doordarshan to be done at state level by duly constituting a committee with Principal DIETs as convener for planning the day-wise, subject-wise calendar for steaming of lessons through virtual mode.
6. The streaming of Doordarshan schedule will be intimated shortly.

The SSED planning to adopt the CBSE workbook model to give the worksheets to the students and other assessment activities. This will help the students to improve their understanding skills.  
“State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has already prepared video lessons covering different subjects of all the classes. It is planned to be telecasted the same through the DD Saptagiri. Also, few more video lessons could also be prepared with the teachers as and when required,” he added.
