Aadhaar is a unique 12-digit identity number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on behalf of the Government of India. Aadhar number serves as proof of identity and address anywhere in India. Now, if you have an Aadhaar card then you can download it in PDF format from the Unique Identification Authority of India’s (UIDAI) website.

According to UIDAI, an e-Aadhaar card downloaded from the UIDAI website is a valid proof of identity. Aadhaar number is free of cost and can be used while opening a bank account, applying for a passport, booking e-tickets and many other places where there is a need to establish identity. It is valid for the full life of an individual and you do not need to change or renew your Aadhaar from time-to-time.

2. ఆధార్ కార్డు హోల్డర్లు ఎక్కడైనా ఇ-ఆధార్ కార్డు డౌన్‌లోడ్ చేసుకోవచ్చు. ఇ-ఆధార్ కార్డు అంటే ఆధార్ కార్డు ఎలక్ట్రానిక్ కాపీ. మీ ఫిజికల్ ఆధార్ కార్డులో ఉన్న వివరాలన్నీ ఇ-ఆధార్ కార్డులో ఉంటాయి.
3. మీ పేరు, పుట్టిన తేదీ, జెండర్, అడ్రస్, మొబైల్ నెంబర్, ఇమెయిల్ ఐడీ లాంటి వివరాలన్నీ ఉంటాయి. ఇ-ఆధార్ కార్డు ఇతరులు యాక్సెస్ చేస్తే ఈ వివరాలన్నీ బయటపడే అవకాశం ఉంది. అందుకే ఇ-ఆధార్ కార్డుకు పాస్‌వర్డ్ ప్రొటెక్షన్ ఉంటుంది.
4. ఇటీవల ఇ-ఆధార్ కార్డులో కొన్ని మార్పులు చేసింది యూఐడీఏఐ. మీరు ఇ-ఆధార్ కార్డు ఎప్పుడు డౌన్‌లోడ్ చేశారో ఆ వివరాలు కూడా ఉంటాయి. అంటే మీ ఆధార్ జనరేట్ అయిన తేదీతో పాటు ఇ-ఆధార్ కార్డు డౌన్‌లోడ్ చేసిన తేదీ కూడా ఉంటుంది. ఆధార్ కార్డు హోల్డర్ల ఫోటో కూడా పెద్దగా ఉంటుంది.

డిజిటల్‌ ఆధార్‌ డౌన్‌లోడ్‌ ఇలా.

  1.  మీరు ఇ-ఆధార్ కార్డు డౌన్‌లోడ్ చేయాలంటే ముందుగా https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in వెబ్‌సైట్‌ ఓపెన్ చేయండి.
  2.  అక్కడ మీ ఆధార్‌ నంబర్‌ గానీ, వర్చువల్‌ ఐడీ నంబర్‌ గానీ,ఎన్‌రోల్‌మెంట్‌ ఐడీ నంబర్‌ గానీ ఎంటర్‌ చేయాలి.
  3.  ఆధార్‌ కార్డు నెంబర్‌ ఇతరులకు తెలీకుండా ఉండేందుకు ఉడాయ్‌ వర్చువల్‌ ఐడీ నంబర్‌ను ప్రవేశ పెట్టిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. 12 అంకెల ఆధార్‌ నంబర్‌లో కేవలం నాలుగు అంకెలు మాత్రమే కనిపించి.. దిగువ భాగంలో వర్చువల్‌ ఐడీ నంబర్‌ కనిపిస్తుంది. అందుకోసం కనిపిస్తున్న బాక్స్‌ను టిక్‌ చేయాలి.
  4.  ఆ తర్వాత మీ రిజిస్టర్డ్‌ మొబైల్‌ నంబర్‌కు ఓటీపీ వస్తుంది. నంబర్‌ను ఎంటర్‌ చేసిన తర్వాత క్యాప్చా కోడ్‌ను కూడా ఎంటర్‌ చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది.
  5.  ఈ ప్రక్రియ పూర్తి కాగానే మీ మొబైల్‌/డెస్క్‌టాప్‌లోకి డిజిటల్‌ ఆధార్‌ కాపీ పీడీఎఫ్‌ ఫార్మాట్‌లో డౌన్‌లోడ్‌ అవుతుంది.
  6. అయితే, డౌన్‌లోడ్ అయిన ఇ-ఆధార్‌కు పాస్‌వర్డ్ ప్రొటెక్షన్ ఉంటుంది.
  7. అది తెరవాలంటే మీ పేరులోని మొదటి నాలుగు అక్షరాలు (క్యాపిటల్ అక్షరాల్లో ఆధార్‌ కార్డు ప్రకారం), పుట్టిన సంవత్సరాన్ని ఎంటర్‌ చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది.
  8.  మీ పేరులోని మొదటి 4 అక్షరాలు, మీరు పుట్టిన సంవత్సరం కలిపి 8 డిజిట్స్ పాస్‌వర్డ్ ఎంటర్ చేస్తే మీ ఆధార్ కార్డు ఓపెన్ అవుతుంది.

How to download Aadhaar card online from UIDAI’s website step-by-step guide:

1. Visit the UIDAI website: www.uidai.gov.in

2. Click on the download Aadhaar option under the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab.
3. Enter your 28-digit enrolment ID as mentioned on the acknowledgment slip or your 12-digit Aadhaar number, or 16 digit Virtual ID and captcha code. You can also choose to download masked Aadhaar copy, if you want. Under the masked copy, the first eight digits of your Aadhaar number will be hidden.
 5. Click on ‘Send OTP’ if you have not generated ‘TOTP using m-Aadhaar app’. An six-digit OTP will be sent to your mobile number. The OTP will remain valid for 10 minutes.
6. Enter the OTP. You will be required to undertake a survey. Click on ‘Verify and Download’. A PDF file will be downloaded on your computer.
7. This file is password protected. The password for the file is the first four letters of your name as mentioned on Aadhaar card which you will have to enter in capital letters and your year of birth in YYYY format. For instance, if your name is Sneha and you were born in the year 1980, then your password will be SNEH1980.

Download Aadhaar Card by Aadhaar Enrolment ID (EID)

If you have recently applied for an Aadhaar card and are waiting for delivery of the same, you can get Aadhaar card status by following these 6 steps:

  1. Keep your enrolment slip handy.
  2. Log in the official UIDAI website.
  3. On the home page, look for the option ‘Check Aadhaar Status’ and click on it. This is the page that will open.
  4. You will be asked for your 14-digit Enrolment ID (EID) number along with the 14-digit time stamp. Enter the same. Ensure the time stamp is entered in this format: dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss as mentioned on your enrolment slip
  5. After submitting this, you will be asked to enter the given security captcha code. Carefully enter the same without any mistakes.
  6. Now click on the ‘Check Status’ button to be provided with the Aadhaar status of your application.
  7. Use this information to digitally access information on your Aadhaar card. Remember to check entered details before submission to avoid errors.
