Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for Combined Graduate Level Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India on 29 December 2020 on its official website i.e. ssc.nic.in. SC CGL 2020-21 Notification : Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has a released a short notice regarding the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2020. As per SSC CGL 2020 Notice, the candidates should submit their application for SSC CGL 2020 through online mode much before the 31 January 2021 in order to avoid technical glitches.

The notice reads, “It is hereby reiterated in the interest of the candidates that aspiring candidates for Combined Graduate  Level Examination-2020, should submit their online application much before the closing date i.e. 31.01.2021 and not to  wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/ inability or failure to login to the website on account of heavytraffic onthe servers during the closing days”

SSC CGL 2020-21 Eligibility Criteria 

Educational Qualification:

  1. Assistant Audit Officer Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University/ Desirable Qualification: CA/CS/MBA/Cost & Management Accountant/ M.Com/ Masters in Business Studies
  2. Statistical Investigator Grade-II – Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects. The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years of the graduation course
  3. Junior  Statistical  Officer – Bachelor’s  Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least   60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
  4. All other Posts – Bachelor’s Degree from a  recognized University or equivalent. The candidates  appearing  in  the final  year  of  their  graduation  can also apply

Citizenship: 

 A candidate must be either:

  • a citizen of India, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC CGL Selection Process 2020-21 (Based on Previous Year) 

The selection will be done on the basis of:

  1. SSC CGL Tier-I: Computer Based Examination
  2. SSC CGL Tier-II: Computer Based Examination
  3. SSC CGL Tier-III: Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper)
  4. SSC CGL Tier-IV: Computer Proficiency Test/ Data Entry Skill Test (wherever applicable) and Document Verification

Merit list will be prepared on the basis of overall performance of candidates in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations. Final selection of candidates, in each category, will be made on the basis of aggregate marks scored by them in „Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III examinations‟ and „preference of posts‟ exercised by them.

SSC CGL Online Application 2021
Candidates are required to apply online to register themself for SSC CGL 2021 exam. As 31stst January 2021 will be the last day to apply for SSC CGL 2021 Exam, so candidates are required to fill the online application form before 31stst January 2021 (11:30 PM). Given below are the steps that a candidate would need to take for successful online registration for the exam:
Steps to Apply Online for SSC CGL 2021 Exam:
Step 1: Click on the official link for SSC CGL which is provided above on this page or Go to the official website of SSC (https://ssc.nic.in/).
Step 2: The registration link for SSC CGL 2021 will open up in the new window.
Step 3: Click on New User / Register Now link.
Step 4: To begin with the online registration for SSC CGL 2021, a candidate needs to provide basic details of themselves like name, parents name, date of birth, email id, mobile number etc.
Step 5: Click on submit button to submit your online registration form of SSC CGL 2021. It is advised that candidates verify their details before submitting the form. All the candidates will be issued Registration ID for SSC CGL 2021 exam.
Candidates are required to login with the provided Registration ID, date of birth and password to complete registration for SSC CGL 2021.
Step 6: In the next step, candidates are required to upload photograph and signature by following the requisites mentioned by Staff Selection Commission of India.
Photograph – The photograph of a candidate must be clicked in front of white colour or light coloured background. The size of photograph must be more than 4 kb and less than 12 kb in size. The resolution of the photograph must be 100*120 pixels in width and height.
Signature – The signature provided by the candidate must be in black or blue ink on white sheet. The scanned copy of signature that needs to be submitted must be in jpg format and it should be more than 1 kb and less than 12 kb in size. The resolution of the image should be 40*60 pixels in width and height.
Step 7: Login with registered ID and password to complete the Part-II of the application form of SSC CGL 2021.
Step 8: After filling out the application form, candidates must preview the entire application of SSC CGL 2021 once to look for any glitches in the form, if any as the application form once submitted cannot be edited again.
Step 9: Click on Final Submit button after previewing the complete online SSC CGL 2021 application form.
It is advised that Candidates download and get print copies of submitted application form of SSC CGL 2021.
Lastly, candidates can proceed to submit the application fee for SSC CGL 2021 either via online mode (through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards) or offline mode (through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan).
